A Nightmare on Sturt Street

Ken Wallace

Car head rests, woven netted synthetic hair, and zip ties.

The concept of this piece is to illustrate the artists perception of the impact on personal beauty of mass production and predict fashion trends. The paroxysm of Attraction and untouchability is contemplated. The avant garde is perceived to be Proud to be artificial, yet desiring intensive individualised input from an artisan, so as to exponentially add value , thereby transforming mundane, even ugly, mass production into a unique and intricate personal story of the complex tastes of the  individual consumer.
