How to Apply

Before you start:

Please read carefully and understand all terms and conditions of the 2021 Wearable Art Creatives Show before applying.

NOTE: Application does not constitute acceptance or entry into the 2021 WAC Show

Step 1 – Complete your Pre-Selection Application Form online

The online application process officially opens on 1 February 2021.

Here you must upload design drawings and a description of your proposed wearable artwork, and input all information required for your application, including artist statement, model requirements and a signed copy of the Terms & Conditions and Media Release Form.

Each application must also nominate a contact person for all communications with the WAC team.

Design Teams (up to 5 designers), and Design Groups (Community Groups / Schools / Organisations) must nominate a lead/contact person to complete the entry process on behalf of the team.

Entries close on 5 March 2021.

Step 2 – Notification

Successful designers will be notified by email from 8 March 2021.

Step 3 – Entry Fee 

Payment of entry fee due by 12 March 2021.

Step 4 – Progress Photographs

Progress photographs must be emailed to WAC by 14 May 2021.

A Progress Photos template will be emailed to you with your acceptance notification letter.

Failure to submit photos, show adequate progress, or quality standard of wearable artwork construction may result in the artwork being removed from the WAC Show.

Step 5 – Dress Fittings / Rehearsal

Designers available for dress fittings and the dress rehearsal with their WAC model (Dates TBC)

Step 6 – WAC Show

Designers available to dress their model at the WAC Show.

Step 6 – WAC Exhibition

It is a condition of entry that your wearable artwork be available for a period of up to 2 months after the 2021 WAC Show, if an exhibition is arranged.

Designers of selected wearable artwork will be notified prior to the WAC Show
