Key Dates for WAC – 2023

 

NOTE: Concept designs are accepted at the application stage.

 

APPLICATIONS

3 October 2022 – Applications open online

2 December 2022 – Applications close

5 December 2022 – Successful designers notified

9 December 2022 – Entry Fee due

 

PROGRESS FORMS

17 February 2023 – Progress Form (including photos) due

 

DRESS FITTINGS and HAIR & MAKEUP CONSULTATIONS

30 April (10am – 2pm) – Dress fittings (with models) and hair & makeup consultations (with Hair & Makeup Team).

Small groups of artist attend 1 x 1 hour scheduled sessions. Artists notified of session time at least 1 week prior.

Venue: The Ann Roberts School of Dance – 853 Flinders Street

 

PHOTOS FOR PROGRAM

Friday 2 June – Photo for the POSE event program due

 

DRESSING INSTRUCTIONS

Friday 4 August – Dressing Instruction Form (including photos) due

 

REHEARSALS

Sunday 20 August (9am – 3pm) – Rehearsals (models only). Staggered session times.

Thursday 24 August (6pm – 9pm) – Delivery of artwork to show venue for dress rehearsal (designers required at this rehearsal)

Friday 25 August (6pm – 9pm) –Rehearsals (models only)

Saturday 26 August (1pm – 3pm) – Rehearsal on stage (models only). Note: Models will have a staggered start throughout the day for hair and makeup (starting at 9am), but must be in attendance for stage rehearsal at 1pm

 

WAC SHOW

26 August 2023 – WAC Show as part of POSE event – Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre (Townsville)

 

WAC EXHIBITION

1 September – 1 October 2023 – WAC Exhibition at Pinnacles Gallery (Townsville)
